Kanye West agrees to buy social media app Parler 2022
The company "Parliament technologies", the parent company of the social media platform "parler", said on Monday that the American rapper Kanye West, known by the nickname "Ye", agreed in principle to purchase the platform, according to a report published by Reuters.
The Nashville-based company parler, which has raised about 56 million dollars so far, said it expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter of 2022. The value of the transaction was not mentioned, and the magazine "Forbes" says that the singer Yi owns a fortune of two billion dollars.

Parler is a popular social media platform among American conservatives, according to Reuters. It was launched in 2018, and was returned to the "Google" and"Apple" application stores after being removed following the riots at the US Capitol in January 2021.
Last month, parler created a new " mother company "under the name" Parlement technologies", as part of a comprehensive overhaul.
In an interview with Reuters on Monday, the CEO of Parliament technologies, George Farmer, said that the deal talks with Yi had recently begun, after Paris Fashion Week.
At Paris Fashion Week on the third of October, Yi wore a T-shirt decorated with the words: "White Lives Matter".
And after 4 days, he posted posts on his account in "Instagram"that Jewish groups called anti-Semitic. META, the parent company that owns Instagram and Facebook, banned Ye's account from Instagram because of the posts.
Yi then moved to Twitter, where he posted on October eighth for the first time in two years; the Twitter platform quickly closed his account.
CEO farmer said that the parler deal came quickly, and Parlement got a "chance" to close the deal.
Farmer declined to comment on whether the deal included a fine if either party reneged on its completion.
In September, Yi ended his partnership with clothing retailer Gap, while German sports goods manufacturer Adidas said on the sixth of October that it was reviewing its business partnership with the rapper.
Yi apparently joined the parler platform on Monday and had about 91 followers at the time of the announcement, and now has 3,900 followers.
In a statement, the rapper said, "in a world where conservative views are controversial, we need to make sure we have the right to express ourselves freely.
Farmer says that parler has 16.5 million registered users. The research company "Apptopia" estimates that the platform has been installed 11.7 million times since its launch, with an estimated 40 thousand daily active users.
