As the countdown to the start of the first football World Cup in the Arab region and the Middle East begins, Qatar reveals day after day its latest preparations to host the world sports wedding.

As Qatar seeks to present an exceptional version of the World Cup, the concerned authorities are finalizing various facilities such as stadiums, fan areas, tourist and heritage attractions that will enhance the experience of fans during this major event.


The Qatar Tourism Authority said it had opened a number of new hotels, resorts and tourist facilities that will be ready to receive fans at the world championship.


An exceptional year

The Qatar Tourism Authority, for its part, pointed out that 2022 marks an unprecedented year in Qatar's development and transformation into a global tourism destination, as well as its goal of reaching 6 million visitors annually by 2030.


The authority explained that the new tourist attractions also include entertainment venues, beaches, beach clubs, houses of Arts and culture, and shopping stores.


One of the most prominent tourist attractions revealed among the new destinations is North qetaifan island, which is part of Lusail City.


And represents the first entertainment Island in the state of Qatar and includes hotels, beach clubs, world-class facilities and distinctive parks such as the water park, which includes 36 games, including the "iconic Tower", the tallest and the first of its kind in the world, with a height of 85 meters.


The area of the island is 1.3 million square meters, its carrying capacity reaches 15 thousand residents and 10-15 thousand visitors per day.


The beaches have had a large share among the recently announced Qatari tourist projects and attractions.

where fans of the World Cup will be able to enjoy many of the beaches that have been opened, most notably "fuwairet","West Bay","Beach Club "B12","Makani" and"Lamar", and these beaches include a variety of facilities, amenities, fan areas and various entertainment facilities.

Commenting on the opening of these tourism projects, Ayman al-Kidwa, an international expert in the tourism and travel sector.
