The company "Samsung" announced that its digital wallet (Samsung Wallet) will become available before the end of this year in 13 new markets, 5 of which are Arab.


The South Korean tech giant launched its digital wallet last June in 8 markets, perhaps the most famous of which are the United States and China.


"Since its first launch in June 2022, the digital wallet platform has become tremendously widespread in markets such as China, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States," Samsung stated in a blog post.


The company added that the platform will now become more widespread with its availability to users in Bahrain, Denmark, Finland, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates.


According to Samsung, its digital wallet is characterized by raising the level of user comfort, and it has worked closely with its partners and trusted developers to enrich the wallet experience.

Jenny Han, Head of Samsung Electronics ' Mobile experience Business team, said: "We are focused on bringing the platform to as many markets as possible, as soon as possible, with the aim of enabling more Samsung Galaxy phone users to reap the benefits of a digital wallet.


The company describes its digital wallet as an easy, fast and secure way for users wishing to organize and access important documents and identification cards, including bank cards, digital keys, Passports, Driver's licenses, and student identification cards, with just one withdrawal.


The Samsung Digital Wallet is protected by the Samsung security platform, "Samsung Knox", which protects important user data by means of biometric authentication, such as fingerprint.

The Samsung digital wallet stores sensitive documents in an isolated environment that provides an additional layer of protection against Real and digital hacking attempts, the company said.


It is noteworthy that Samsung had announced last June the integration of the electronic payment service "Samsung Pay"  and the service "Samsung Pass" into one service, the Samsung digital wallet.
